Kara Birkedahl joined us in 1986. Kara earned Phi Beta Kappa at C.U. Boulder, and a Masters Degree, before attending law school at the University of Denver, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. Kara especially likes prosecuting workers compensation claims and has successfully guided hundreds of our clients through the complicated maze of administrative procedures in that field. Kara also prosecutes employment discrimination and breach of employment contract cases. She was co-counsel with Steve and Tom B. on James v. Coors (verdict for the plaintiff of $1.4 million) and has achieved numerous confidential settlements of tough employment cases (is there any other kind?) As one client recently put it: Working with Kara changed my mind about lawyers!
